Gym Time

Finally got to the gym this morning!! WONDERFUL:) I put in 5 miles on the bike and elliptical. Nice sweat and a chance to chat with a friend. Great morning.

My wonderful husband and I weighed in yesterday. I have lost another pound and Dave lost 3!! Whoo Hoo. I am gonna reach my goal of losing 6 pounds by end of February...and surpass {i hope}.

I went a bit crazy with the home made bread after my weigh in yesterday. Self control is a BIG issue for me!!!

What about you? How do you control binge eating? What foods trigger a binge? Mine are chips, dip, salsas, sweets and home made bread!!!!

  1. For me, any kind of bread:( I have too many binge foods to list. Lots of grains. And sugary stuff. Sigh.

  2. That's why I don't like weighing sometimes, especially if I'm down more than I think I should be - suddenly, I'm a star - lol. My trigger foods - everything - actually sugary stuff and chips and salsa too. I'm controlling binge eating by not starting and by eating my meals at the table. It's no fun to binge at the table.

    One of my triggers is boredom. If I'm watching tv and I'm bored I want to be munching.

  4. The only way I control binges is to keep the food out of the house. So the 'grabby' foods I allow in are turkey pepperoni and grape tomatoes-stuff that I don't have to feel guilty to grab. I'm with Jo though, being cooped up because of the weather has made me want to eat everything that isn't nailed down-boredom is a nightmare!

  5. Congrats on the Gym! I just LOVE the amazing feeling that comes with working out. I know is tough to get to the gym in the first place but once you're done is like "wow...am i glad I did that!!!" lol...Foods that sometimes trigger a a binge for me (if I let them) are sweets like cake, cookies, ice cream, etc. I have a major sweet tooth that Im learning to control for good!! :) Congrats on your progress. Stay focused! ;)

  6. running is going ok. I sort of started slacking a little last week. but I did 4 miles yesterday, so I didn't lose too much. made a goal to pick it back up and run three times this week plus zumba and pilates
