Holiday Habits

How are you ladies? I have been doing okay. I mean it is the Holidays and normally I would be eating everything in site. Sweets, dips, chips, you name it...I would eat it.

I am now thinking before I eat.

I am now making sure I am hungry before eating.

And while I haven't lost one pound yet I am noticing a difference in my waist and in how I feel.

Vince Lombardi:" It's not whether you get knocked down; it's whether you get up."

So, ladies...let's promise ourselves that even if we indulge in the occasional sugar cookie or cream cheese puff...we will get back up. We will make sure the next meal is reasonable and healthy.

Tonight we are enjoying sloppy joes with whole wheat buns and sweet potato fries. They are sooo yummy! Just cut up a few sweet potatoes, spray with Pam type cooking spray and sprinkle with a mixture of chili powder, rosemary and sea salt. Bake in the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes. These are very good!

How are you doing this Season? I would love to know!!

  1. Sounds like a yummy dinner! I'm pretty proud of myself today - I had a spinach salad with baked chicken for lunch - and skipped the fast food! :-)

  2. HI there, thks so much for your comments on my blog! Hv u signed up for Soul Restoration yet? I hope u will join me.. it's gonna be so so good! hugs xo

  3. Not to bad so far. I've just started paying attention to what i'm eating, uping the fruit and water intake but still enjoying a treat or two ;) Good news is i've lost 5 pounds ;)

  4. Great reminder...I've kind of fallen off the wagon a bit. Still excercising, but the eating clean has been derailed.

  5. Love the attitude. My motto is: Get back on the diet! It allows for a few falls off the diet :)

  6. It's the little changes you make that will one day become big changes. Tweak an ingredient here and there and before you know it your taste buds have adjusted to the new flavors and you love them better than the original. I'm proud that you are making the changes Leslie, especially at this time of year! I'll keep you in my prayers knowing that God will hear the requests for strength and endurance in this race we call life : )
